| On 14 March 1986 the Electric Boat Division of General Dynamics, Gorton, Connecticut, was awarded the contract to build the USS Maryland (SSBN 738); her keel was laid 22 April 1986; she was launched 10 August 1991; Delivered 31 May 1892 and commissioned 13 June 1992. |
| Maryland currently operates with the Atlantic Fleet out of Kings Bay, Georgia. |
