Launched Oct. 4, 1898. Commissioned Sept. 16, 1901. Complement of 34 Officers and 656 men. Two military masts and 2 funnels abreast. Main Battery -- Four 13 in. B. L. R. in turrets; fourteen 6- in. R. F. in broadside. Secondary Battery -- Sixteen 6-in. b., two 1-lb., two 3-in. F., four 3-10 cal. A.; with one 18-in. torpedo tube above water. |
